About the Role – Accountant Jobs in Lusaka As a full-time Accountant at Plantlife Zambia, you will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
You will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local tax legislation, and supporting financial reporting processes. Your contribution will be key to the smooth functioning of our Finance Department.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and update accurate financial records and ledgers. Process and reconcile all financial transactions efficiently.
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable with diligence. Monitor debtor balances and proactively follow up on overdue payments.
Assist with stock and inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy. Perform bank reconciliations and oversee cash flow monitoring.
Ensure full compliance with Zambian tax and statutory regulations. Prepare statutory payroll returns and perform related reconciliations.
Support audits, budgeting, and financial reporting activities as required. Candidate Requirements A Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, complemented by ZICA Licentiate/Level II certification or an equivalent qualification.
Between 1 to 2 years of practical experience in bookkeeping or an accounting role. Proven hands-on experience managing debtors and creditors effectively.
