National Savings and Credit Bank (NATSAVE) is seeking a highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Business Development Officer (01) – NG5.
Reporting to: Relationship Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To identify and pursue new business opportunities, build relationships with existing clients and contribute to revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding existing relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Generate new business leads and identify business-development opportunities through networking, referrals and marketing events.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Acquire new clients and grow existing client portfolios to achieve sales and business-development targets.
• Coordinate the onboarding of new clients and ensure a seamless transition to transactional banking services.
• Conduct market research and gather competitor intelligence to support business-development strategies.
• Prepare and present business proposals and solutions to prospective clients to secure new business.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, business opportunities and relationship activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field, with a strong foundation in sales, business development, customer relationship management, marketing principles and financial services.
• Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or Customer Relationship Management is an added advantage.
• 0–2 years’ experience in sales, business development or a related field, with exposure to customer acquisition, relationship management and sales support to contribute to business growth and customer-portfolio development.
