Chinese Translator

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Translating spoken communication between Chinese and English accurately and professionally.
• Translating documents, reports, notices, instructions, letters and other company materials from Chinese to English and vice versa.
• Providing interpretation during meetings, training sessions and site activities.
• Assisting Chinese management and Zambian employees to communicate effectively.
• Supporting the Human Resources Department with translation of HR-related documents and employee communications.
• Translating safety instructions and ensuring employees understand important workplace safety information.
• Assisting with communication between supervisors, employees, contractors and management.
• Maintaining confidentiality of company and employee information.
• Providing interpretation during disciplinary meetings, where required.
• Performing any other translation and interpretation duties assigned by Management.
