About the Community Liaison Intern Role As a Community Liaison Intern, you will join the dynamic Community Relations team, reporting directly to the Senior Community Relations Officer. Your primary responsibility will be to build trust and maintain open communication channels between Lumwana Mining Company and the surrounding communities.

You will champion Barrick’s core values, including integrity, accountability, transparency, and a commitment to zero harm, while contributing to the company’s sustainable legacy. Key Responsibilities for Community Liaison Intern Jobs in Kalumbila Assist in planning, promoting, and coordinating community meetings, outreach programs, and events.

Distribute approved informational materials to communicate the company’s mission and initiatives effectively. Support stakeholder engagement activities and maintain professional contact with community members and leaders.

Collect, record, and analyze community feedback, grievances, and stakeholder sentiments. Identify community groups and foster partnerships that promote empowerment and collaboration.

Support implementation and monitoring of community development programs and initiatives. Assist with community surveys, consultations, and awareness campaigns.

Participate in site visits, field assessments, and outreach activities as required. Maintain engagement calendars to track meetings, events, and commitments.

Promote culturally appropriate, respectful, and transparent engagement with stakeholders. Candidate Requirements Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Adult Education, or a related field. Experience or exposure to community engagement, social development, or stakeholder relations is advantageous.

Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Understanding of local cultural dynamics, traditions, and community values, with the ability to build trust.

Ability to communicate effectively in at least one local language, preferably Kaonde or Lunda. Strong relationship management skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and teams.
