This role requires candidates who are dependable, disciplined, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Key Requirements

  • Possession of a full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Zambian Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Minimum of three years verifiable professional driving experience.
  • Clean driving record without serious traffic violations.
  • Basic skills in vehicle inspection, maintenance, and minor fault identification.
  • Strong knowledge of Zambian roads, border routes, and traffic regulations.
  • Proficiency in using smartphones, GPS, and electronic navigation systems.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and record-keeping abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Zambia and internationally, including overnight trips.
  • Physically fit, honest, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely transport parcels, goods, and company property to designated locations.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any defects.
  • Maintain accurate delivery notes, trip sheets, fuel records, and vehicle logs.
  • Load, secure, and unload consignments carefully to prevent damage.
  • Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery for all consignments.
  • Plan and execute efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Adhere strictly to road traffic laws, border crossing regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep assigned vehicles clean, secure, and in proper working condition.
  • Protect confidential customer and company information at all times.
  • Report any accidents, delays, losses, or delivery incidents immediately.
  • Provide professional, courteous service to all customers.
  • Undertake local, interprovincial, and international trips as assigned.
