Excavator Operator

Job Summary

The Excavator Operator will operate hydraulic excavators for digging, loading, trenching, material handling, and other mining activities while maintaining safe and productive operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators safely and efficiently.
• Excavate, load, and move ore, waste, and other materials.
• Follow excavation plans and instructions from supervisors.
• Conduct daily machine inspections before operation.
• Monitor equipment condition and report faults promptly.
• Maintain proper excavation and loading techniques.
• Follow all mine safety, environmental, and traffic procedures.
• Record operating hours, production activities, and equipment issues.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience operating excavators, preferably in mining or construction.
• Good knowledge of excavator controls and operating procedures.
• Strong awareness of occupational health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a mining team.
• Physically fit and capable of working shifts where required.
