DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the Key Responsibilities of this position include but shall not be limited to:
- Manage day-to-day HR office operations
- Advise on employee safety, welfare and wellness.
- Ensure seamless recruitment, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention.
- Conducting insightful exit interviews to inform future strategies aligning with Sacco's mission and values. Implementing HR policies, performance appraisals, leave management and overall supervision of office administration.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable Acts and statutory requirements.
- Staff leave management and planning.
- Develop and update job descriptions for each staff position.
- Develop optimal annual staffing plan and organization structure.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, Sacco policies and industry standards, enforcing adherence and acting when necessary to maintain trust and integrity.
- Maintain accurate department records and reports; and leverage data to improve overall efficiency.
- Provide monthly reports on employee-related issues with proposals to the CEO on quarterly basis.
- Oversee the performance management system; conduct thorough performance reviews, and analysis to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to staff, focusing on staff welfare to build resilience and motivation
EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field from a reputable university.
- Be a member of a recognized Human Resource Body and an active membership of the Institute of Human Resource Management IHRM.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in administrative and HR procedures within a financial institution, with expertise in business systems and a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
