Higher Education Authority (HEA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians for the position of Inspector Institutional Audits.

JOB PURPOSE
Undertake registration and inspections of Higher Education Institutions to ensure that established standards are met.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop and implement policies and programmes periodically to guide the operations of Higher Education Institutions.
• Register Higher Education Institutions in a timely manner so that they operate in conformity with regulatory conditions.
• Inspect Higher Education Institutions regularly to ensure compliance with minimum operating criteria.
• Research topical and emerging issues in higher education to inform regulatory decisions.
• Prepare the State of Higher Education Report, lists of registered and established Higher Education Institutions, and other reports to support decisions and inform the public.
• Prepare the Unit budget in time to support acquisition of departmental resources.
• Prepare an individual work plan to monitor, evaluate and improve performance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or a Social Science discipline from a recognised Higher Education Institution.
