Our client is an established manufacturing and distribution business supplying a wide range of products to major South African retailers. They are seeking a Key Account Manager to manage key retail accounts, focusing on product performance, stock movement, and range optimisation across a large SKU base.
Responsibilities:- Manage and maintain relationships with major retail accounts
- Oversee performance of a large product portfolio (±900 SKUs) across key clients
- Analyse product sales data, stock movement, and shelf performance
- Identify top-performing and underperforming products and drive corrective actions
- Monitor product lifecycle, shelf presence, and rotation within retail environments
- Work closely with buyers to optimise product ranges and listings
- Provide data-driven insights and reporting to internal stakeholders and clients
- Forecast demand trends and support planning based on sales data
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, logistics, and planning) to ensure product availability
- Ensure smooth execution of orders, stock replenishment, and delivery timelines
- Travel to Johannesburg as required to manage key accounts
Requirements:- Proven experience in Key Account Management within retail or FMCG environments
- Strong analytical ability with experience managing large product ranges
- Experience working with major South African retailers (essential)
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
