Boarding Patron and Matron (2 positions) ICT/Commercials Teacher Security Officers (2 positions) Special Education Upper Primary Teachers Chef Boarding Mistress Support Staff – Boarding Section Part-Time Chef Tutor – Special Education Key Responsibilities and Requirements for Selected Roles Boarding Patron and Matron Responsibilities:
Supervise learners in the boarding section, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
Maintain discipline, order, and cleanliness in dormitories and surrounding areas.
Monitor daily routines including study time, meals, and rest periods.
Provide guidance, care, and support to boarders.
Report concerns promptly to school management.
Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 Certificate.
At least 2 years’ experience as a boarding matron or patron with verifiable references.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work compassionately and responsibly with children.
ICT/Commercials Teacher Qualifications and Skills:
Grade 12 School Certificate.
Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Commercials, or a related field certified by the Zambian Qualifications Authority (ZQA).
Valid practicing license from the Teaching Council of Zambia.
Computer literate with at least 2 years’ experience teaching examination classes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Result-driven and goal-oriented.
Security Officers (2 Positions) Responsibilities:
Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety of learners, staff, and property.
Control access to the boarding section, allowing entry only to authorized persons.
Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
Maintain accurate records of security activities.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ security experience, preferably in a school or boarding environment.
Strong observational and communication skills.
Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
High integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
Special Education Upper Primary Teachers Grade 12 Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education.
Valid practicing license from the Teaching Council of Zambia.
Computer literate with excellent communication skills.
At least 2 years’ experience teaching examination classes.
Chef Responsibilities:
Prepare nutritious, balanced meals including for learners with special dietary needs.
Plan menus in collaboration with school administration.
Maintain kitchen hygiene and manage stock effectively.
Ensure meals are served on schedule with high quality and presentation standards.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a school or boarding facility.
Relevant certificate or diploma in Food Production or Hospitality is advantageous.
Knowledge of food safety, nutrition, and hygiene standards.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Boarding Mistress Provide daily care, supervision, and support to boarders ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Support learners with special educational needs in daily activities.
Maintain a clean, orderly boarding environment and accurate records.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in boarding or special education settings.
Qualifications in Education, Childcare, Social Work, or related fields preferred.
Support Staff – Boarding Section Assist with supervision, daily routines, cleanliness, and safety in boarding facilities.
Minimum 1 year experience working with children in school or boarding environments.
Reliable, patient, and physically fit to perform assigned duties.
Part-Time Chef Tutor – Special Education Teach cooking, food preparation, hygiene, and kitchen safety to learners with special needs.
Provide practical lessons adapted to different learner abilities.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a chef/cook; culinary qualifications preferred.
Must be available to work part-time.
