About the Role As a Stores Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s inventory management strategy aimed at controlling costs within budgetary limits.

You will manage and maintain materials and stocked product inventory, including stock profiles and locations, and oversee perpetual inventory stock counting to ensure accuracy. Your role will also involve minimizing overstocks and removing obsolete or redundant raw materials to optimize working capital.

You will ensure the goods inward and stock control departments are well organized and effectively support production goals. Additionally, you will coordinate closely with the procurement department to follow up on any delayed materials that may impact production timelines.

Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and documentation accuracy. Develop inventory management strategies to control costs within set budgets.

Manage company material and product inventories, including stock profiling and location tracking. Conduct perpetual inventory stock counts and accuracy checks regularly.

Reduce overstocks and remove obsolete raw materials to maximize working capital availability. Ensure goods inward processes are organized and align with company procedures.

Liaise with procurement to expedite delayed materials affecting production. Qualifications and Experience Advanced Diploma in CIPS, CILT, Business Management, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum of five years’ experience in stores management. Comprehensive understanding of the cement manufacturing industry, including trends, challenges, regulations, and legislation.

Strong knowledge of inventory planning and management principles and techniques. Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.

Sound understanding of the organisation’s product and service offerings.
