The Artisan Fitter role focuses on maintaining mining equipment to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards, with an emphasis on preventative and routine maintenance. The successful candidate will primarily service crushers and other mining equipment as directed by their supervisor.

Key Responsibilities for Artisan Fitter Jobs in Kalumbila Maintain accurate records of equipment servicing and repairs. Ensure continuous operation of mining equipment by following operating instructions and troubleshooting breakdowns.

Perform preventative maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed. Utilize workshop manuals to update and expand job knowledge.

Complete assigned maintenance tasks to support organizational objectives. Undertake additional duties as delegated by supervisors.

Required Competencies and Experience Proficient troubleshooting skills across various mining equipment. Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and ability to read hydraulic diagrams.

Basic electrical knowledge, including fault finding. Experience with primary and secondary crushers, screens, conveyor belts, and drive motors.

Minimum of five years’ experience repairing crusher plants. Professional Attributes and Skills High level of professionalism and strong organizational skills.

Ability to make timely, rational decisions and meet deadlines. Integrity and confidentiality in all professional dealings.

Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral. Commitment to achieving and exceeding maintenance, operational, and safety goals.

Team player with the ability to support colleagues and manage maintenance workgroups in remote settings. Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Awareness of diverse cultures and customs is advantageous. Qualifications Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting.

Grade 12 School Certificate. Class C Driver’s License with at least two years of driving experience.

Membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ). Valid silicosis certificate.
