Payroll Administrator

Employment Information

Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly wages payroll accurately and on time using Sage 300 People
  • Import, reconcile and validate ERS-Bio time and attendance data
  • Capture and maintain employee payroll information, earnings, overtime, allowances, leave and deductions
  • Ensure employee records remain accurate, compliant and up to date
  • Manage employee onboarding, terminations and payroll-related changes
  • Monitor timesheets, attendance exceptions and payroll authorisations
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies before payroll cut-off
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll audits
  • Liaise with site teams regarding timesheets, approvals and payroll queries
  • Provide HR administrative support, including employee documentation and record management
  • Ensure compliance with South African payroll legislation and company policies
 
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator role, preferably within the construction, engineering or industrial sector
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 300 People (essential)
  • Experience working with time and attendance systems, preferably ERS-Bio
  • Sound knowledge of South African payroll legislation, including BCEA, UIF, PAYE, SDL, COIDA and applicable bargaining council requirements
  • Excellent reconciliation, numerical and administrative skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential information
  • Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines
