Job purpose:
To promote and uphold the highest standards of research integrity and ethics across the University by coordinating, monitoring, and supporting ethical review processes, ensuring compliance with national and institutional research ethics frameworks, and guiding researchers on ethical best practices.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five Credits that must include English Language
An earned Bachelor’s degree in Law or Philosophy or Research Ethics or Human Research Protection, Public Policy Analysis, Research Administration or Compliance Management from a recognised University
An earned Master’s degree in Law or Philosophy or Research Ethics or Human Research Protection, Public Policy Analysis, Research Administration or Compliance Management from a recognised University
Must be familiar with the higher education landscape and legal framework
Functional computer literacy skills
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Experience needed
At least two years of experience relevant to the job

A valid practicing license from a relevant regulatory body
