Role Overview:

Coordinator DTH Drills Jobs in Kalumbila The Coordinator for DTH Drills will be instrumental in planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance activities on drilling equipment to ensure optimal reliability and safety.

This full-time position involves managing maintenance schedules, compliance with OEM specifications, and budget oversight to enhance operational efficiency while controlling costs. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with planners to develop and coordinate detailed maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.

Ensure all maintenance work packages, including instructions and inspection plans, adhere to OEM standards. Maintain service sheets as live documents in partnership with the reliability team to prevent equipment failures.

Coordinate resources, tools, and materials with technical advisors, supervisors, mechanics, and OEM contractors before maintenance tasks commence. Support troubleshooting efforts for breakdowns exceeding two hours following the Triggered Actions Response plan.

Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action reports for major component failures lasting over four hours. Supervise adherence to scope, quality standards, and timelines for mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.

Participate in meetings, training sessions, and safety initiatives to promote continuous improvement. Ensure statutory inspections and logbooks for designated equipment are current and accurately maintained.

Assist in preparing and monitoring the maintenance budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability. Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize spare parts inventory and costs.

Maintain accurate and timely maintenance records and work orders. Encourage team development through training and skill enhancement initiatives.

Communicate safety hazards, ongoing works, and progress updates effectively between shifts. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Recognized certification in reliability, maintenance planning, or quality control is preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience in maintenance coordination, ideally within mining or heavy industry sectors.

Proven expertise in drill maintenance, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Demonstrated experience in budget management and cost control for maintenance operations.

Valid driver’s license and membership in a relevant engineering institution (EIZ). Skills and Competencies Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Experience with CMMS systems such as Pronto is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to drilling equipment.

Ability to prioritize tasks based on equipment criticality, safety, and operational impact. Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and maintenance management workflows.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Leadership capability to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectively.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently. Proactive, solution-focused mindset with sound decision-making under pressure.
