About the Role:

IT Systems Architect Jobs in Kalumbila As an IT Systems Architect, you will collaborate closely with business and IT teams to define architectural requirements and design solutions that meet both regional and group standards.

Your expertise will be crucial in assessing current technology environments and proposing scalable, secure systems that support our strategic objectives across the site. Key Responsibilities Define and validate business requirements and solution designs consistent with First Quantum’s vision and strategy.

Translate business needs into comprehensive solution designs, including system integration and enterprise application architectures. Identify architectural risks or compliance issues and escalate them according to governance procedures.

Lead software product selection and provide accurate solution design and implementation estimates. Oversee solution/tool selection, requirements gathering, application configuration, and testing processes.

Assess alternative designs and systems, providing well-informed recommendations to stakeholders. Develop detailed solution documentation and visual representations of architecture for new IT implementations.

Offer expert guidance on IT solutions and vendor management to align with business needs. Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure solutions meet requirements and support change management involving hardware, software, processes, and personnel.

Support installation, customization, testing, and deployment of IT solutions, including test scenario preparation. Participate in procurement activities related to system implementation and vendor selection.

Ensure compliance with regional and group IT standards and policies, recommending improvements where necessary. Required Skills and Attributes Excellent communication skills across all management levels.

Strong critical thinking and conflict management capabilities. Proven analytical and problem-solving expertise.

Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with strong technical aptitude.

Commercial awareness and experience negotiating with vendors. Outstanding presentation skills.

Balanced approach to infrastructure-level systems and business-driven design. Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 7 years’ hands-on experience in systems and solution design and implementation across multiple platforms.

Professional background as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Solutions Architect. Solid understanding of network, data centre, and cloud architectures within IT/OT environments.

Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform components including SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Proficient in the Microsoft development ecosystem, including .NET Frameworks and MS SQL Server.

Experience with Microsoft cloud services and data integration patterns. Familiarity with database principles, operating systems, networking, and software engineering.

Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable, secure systems meeting stakeholder expectations. Mining industry experience is an advantage.

Membership with ICTAZ is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
