The Digital Business Systems Improvement Specialist will collaborate closely with IT, Inventory, Group Engineering, and Planning teams to digitise processes, improve governance, and optimise commercial performance through advanced digital tools and AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities for Specialist Process Improvement Jobs in Solwezi Design, develop, and implement digital tools including AI bots, reports, and data models to enhance contractor management and commercial operations. Create AI Copilot-enabled solutions to improve the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of commercial agreements and scope drafting.

Standardise commercial processes and data structures to strengthen governance and consistency across departments and sites. Develop and maintain standardised labour and materials price books to support transparent pricing and cost control.

Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time insights into sourcing, contracting, logistics, supplier performance, and inventory management. Analyse company data to identify trends and business improvement opportunities that drive operational efficiency and cost savings.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on process optimisation, risk mitigation, and compliance enhancement. Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, and documentation for all commercial systems and digital solutions.

Collaborate with IT teams to align commercial IT initiatives with business needs and ensure successful project delivery. Qualifications and Experience Applicants must have all academic qualifications verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is advantageous.

Certifications in data analytics, business intelligence, or process improvement are desirable but not mandatory. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development, AI implementation, data analytics, commercial analysis, or business improvement roles.

Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as SQL, Python, VBA, JavaScript, C++, and Java. Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure including AWS, Google Cloud, Linux, and PostgreSQL.

Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies. Proven ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.

Behavioural Competencies Excellent communication and presentation skills. Leadership abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude with a focus on process improvement. Ability to manage conflict and work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines.
