Role Overview and Key Responsibilities As Superintendent, Training and Development, you will develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with our business objectives.

Your leadership will be instrumental in designing and delivering leadership development programs, managing learning management systems, and advancing e-learning initiatives. You will also lead succession planning and talent development efforts to ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders.

Develop and execute training and development strategies aligned with organizational goals. Design leadership programs for emerging and current leaders, supporting succession planning.

Coordinate coaching, mentoring, and leadership assessments across departments. Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS), training databases, and reporting tools.

Integrate e-learning modules, virtual classrooms, and digital learning resources. Innovate with modern learning technologies including gamification and blended learning.

Analyze training needs and continuously improve existing programs. Draft and implement training policies and talent frameworks to support workforce growth.

Oversee induction programs and facilitate change management initiatives. Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and development of career progression frameworks.

Promote internal mobility and coordinate career development to enhance employee retention. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Instructional Technology, or related field with ZAQA accreditation is mandatory.

Master’s degree is advantageous. ZIHRM Certification is required.

Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in training, professional development, or instructional leadership. Proven expertise managing LMS platforms and e-learning systems.

Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance evaluation. Familiarity with both traditional and modern training methodologies.

Key Competencies and Attributes Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams. Analytical skills to assess training needs and measure program effectiveness.

Technological proficiency in LMS and digital learning tools. Adaptability to evolving organizational needs and change management.

Understanding of Zambian employment laws and diversity objectives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Planning, organizing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Collaborative, approachable, resilient, and passionate about developing people.

Experience in project and budget management, facilitation, and presentation.
