About the Role – Contracts Accountant Jobs in Kalumbila Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant - Contracts, the successful candidate will manage the commercial administration, accounting, and settlement of metals sales and off-take contracts.

This position demands accuracy, timeliness, and a proactive approach to financial controls and contract performance analysis to support strategic decision-making within the Metals Sales department. Key Responsibilities Execute accounting, invoicing, and settlement for metals sales, off-take, and haulage contracts.

Reconcile invoices with dispatch schedules, weighbridge records, assays, moisture, quantities, and delivery documentation. Validate pricing, payable metals, treatment charges/royalties (TC/RCs), penalties, deductions, and other contractual elements for provisional and final invoices.

Support assay exchanges, umpire processes, settlement reconciliations, and customer payment tracking, including Dispatch-to-Cash analysis. Conduct regular performance analysis of off-take contracts to identify risks, value leakages, and improvement opportunities.

Develop contract performance models, dashboards, and variance analyses against budgets, forecasts, and contractual expectations. Extract, reconcile, and interpret data from multiple systems to provide actionable commercial insights.

Analyse transporter performance and manage contractual escalations. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, market analysis, and scenario modelling related to prices, volumes, customer mix, and contract terms.

Prepare management reports and executive presentations for senior leadership, clearly communicating performance, risks, and opportunities. Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, controls, data integrity, and value recovery.

Candidate Requirements Grade 12 Certificate. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.

A Master’s degree is an advantage. Minimum of three years’ experience in accounts management related to concentrate sales and transport contracts or a similar role.

Exposure to local and international bulk transport and shipping documentation is beneficial. Proficient computer skills, including integrated management systems, word processing, presentations, and spreadsheets.
